From Jennifer:

I just received my order number 198.  I love the socks and the pin (a gift for
my great CFI).

I enjoyed the article in my Flight Training magazine about you. You are
inspirational!  I am very much enjoying learning to fly just for fun.  I am sorry
that this never even occurred to me in my youth in spite of the fact that I
grew up in the shadows of O'Hare Airport with the jets roaring over every
minute!

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you are having a wonderful day!
From Dana:

You're doing a great job, and you've got wonderful ideas, and the web site is
really good.  I've passed it along to a number of people, and have a little girl
at my grandson's day care interested in it.  She's in second grade, and wants
to be a pilot "like Alex's grandma".  I told her when I get the chance to fly
again and get current again (next spring) I'll take her for a ride.  Thank you
for doing what you do.  You are an inspiration to us all!
From Tony:

I am also a father of two wonderful, beautiful girls.  My youngest (14) has
always wanted to become an astronaut since she attended a Sally Ride
science camp.  She has followed my training with me, asking questions and
really becoming interested.  She has voiced interest in many things (as most
young people do) but she has always come back to wanting to become a
pilot.  She thinks that would be so cool!!!

I’ve taken her up several times and she loves it.  She loves the science of
flight and I think she might just pursue a pilot license in the future.

I have been trying to find websites that I can point her to but have always
come to the stuff daddy likes which doesn’t keep her interest.  I visited your
website and I think it is the bomb!!!  I can’t wait to show her the website.

I also know a corporate pilot that is female and she is always trying to find
ways to encourage young ladies to become pilots.  I’ll send her an email and
let her know about this website and maybe she’ll do a bio for you.

Thanks again for spending you spare time encouraging young aspiring girls to
become women in aviation…..YOU are the bomb!!!
From Diana:

I found out about your website from the AOPA magazine and an article about
you (!) which was just terrific (you go, girl!).  I wish I had had the
encouragement to pursue flying when I was a youngster…didn’t get around to
it until four years ago when I turned 52.  Ahhh well, I can do my best to
encourage the next one, can’t I?
From Justin:

What a great web site! I found out about the site after reading an article
about you in Flight Training magazine. I maintain a web site called
www.NoticeToAirmen.com where I share my passion for aviation. My wife and I
are expecting our first child in April '07 - a girl! A potential, future aviator!
Great idea for the site. We need more women in aviation! Continued success
and God Bless!
From Sheila:

Hi! I love your website and I just want to thank you for having it. I heard
about it through "My Mom Flies" and have forwarded it to other mom's of girls.
I have 2 small children, am a C-130/LC-130 navigator (I have been out of the
Herc for 3 years now-currently operations officer), have my PPL, and getting
ready to retire with my 20 in the Air Force Reserves. I miss flying so
much and want to pass on my passion for it to my little ones. I am so happy
your website is here as I am also part of a homeschooling group and we are
doing a field trip to my husband's C-5 base and your website gave me great
ideas for an aviation class to hold before the trip.  Just wanted to pass on how
much I appreciate you taking the time to do this-God Bless.
From Michelle:

I read about you in the AOPA flight training magazine. I'm working on getting
my private in Omaha. I just want to say I love the newsletter and think it's
great what you are doing. I was just on the website reading some
of the stories because I needed a little motivation myself, it really seems to
help when I'm feeling hopeless about flying. These ladies have some really
great stories. Keep up the good work. :)
From Chris:

We ran across your site by accident while searching the internet.   Awesome
web site.  Love it!  My 5-year-old daughter enjoys looking at it.

"Dreams take flight."  Amen to that!!
From Sherry:

Lynda: I just wanted to tell you what a fantastic thing you have done with the
GWW website.  This is the first time I've logged on and I'm very impressed.
What a great tool to inspire other young women to have careers in aviation.  I
heard about GWW through
Whirly-Girls. I'm WG #295.
Lynda

I wanted to thank you for creating a website that encourages young
girls to fly.  Here is a picture of my future pilots.  The oldest
Renee is already learning how to fly a 1948 Swift.  Thanks again

Hi Lynda,

I'm an aerospace engineer who's currently working full-time as a stay-at-home
mom.  I miss being a part of the aerospace world, but the sight of my
two-year-old daughter running to the window when a plane or helicopter flies
over makes it all worth it.  "I dee heh-coppa!" she likes to say.

You have a great organization.  Keep up the good work!!
Callie
Dear Ms. Meeks,

Thank you so much for your wonderful program, website and webstore. I
bought my daughter 2 shirts and a pair of airplane socks for her birthday and
she LOVES them - you can tell it's Monday at our house (the day after
laundry day!!) if she is wearing her airplane shirt. Needless to say it has
withheld many washings. I found your site looking for an airplane shirt for a
young girl and I found so much more. Thank you so much for providing this
to all girls myself included. We have just sent her name to the moon thanks
to your site, I would have never have heard of that program on my own. My
daughters love of planes started young, around 2 and is growing right along
with her. She is currently sleeping with a playschool plastic plane filled with
little planes instead of stuffed animals. Her dad and I started out not knowing
a lot about aviation two years ago and have enjoyed learning with her. She
wore one of your shirts on her birthday trip to Pensacola to see the Blue
Angles, who were so wonderful with  all of the children and signed
autographs (we don't wash that shirt!).  They took the time to chat with
them about flying, I was impressed and would recommend both the museum
and your web site to anyone interested in flying!!!

Thank You!!
Warmest Regards
Kristen and Zoe
